The Immigration and Refugee Board is responsible for deliberating decisions in
relation to Canadian Immigration and Canadian Refugee matters. The Immigration
and Refugee Board is Canada’s largest administrative tribunal.
The Immigration and Refugee Board has several functions, including deciding who
requires Refugee Protection, Review of Immigration and/or Refugee Orders and/or
Decisions, Detention Reviews and Admissibility Hearings.
As Licensed Paralegals, we provide litigations services at the Immigration and

Bill C-35: An Act to amend the Immigration and Refugee Protections Act was
introduced on June 8, 2010 and passed on December 7, 2010 which allowed
Licensed Paralegal who were in good standing their law society to represent
individuals at the Immigration and Refugee Board.
